The ground rules.

Who can use it

You need an invite to make an account. You must be at least 13, or the minimum age to use online services where you live, whichever is higher.

One account per person. Keep your password safe: what happens on your account is on you.

Your content

What you post is yours. You give us permission to store it and show it so your page works: displaying, resizing, caching and backing it up.

You promise you have the right to post it. That includes your images, music, videos and links.

What isn’t allowed

Anything illegal. Sexual content involving minors, which we report. Harassment, hate, threats and doxxing.

Pretending to be someone else, or faking a badge or staff status. Malware, phishing, scam links and spam.

Attacking, overloading or scraping the site at scale, dodging a ban, or selling usernames and invites.

Usernames

Names are first come, first served. Short names are handed out by hand. We may take back or change a username that is used to impersonate someone or to break these rules.

Reports and removal

Anyone can report a page. We can remove content or suspend or delete an account when it breaks these rules, and for serious cases we may do it without warning.

If you think we got it wrong, write to abuse@romance.rip and we’ll take another look.

Coops and Discord

Coops are shared pages. Changes that affect both people need the other person’s approval unless they chose to trust you. What you add to a coop is visible to anyone with its link.

Linking Discord is optional. If you do, your Discord status and what you’re listening to can show on your page, and you can turn that off any time. The Discord server has its own rules at romance.rip/rules.

Paid features

Almost everything is free. romance+ costs €2.99 once and stays yours for good. Donations are optional. Paid extras are always marked, and you are never charged unless you choose to pay.

Crypto payments go straight to our wallet and are checked on the public blockchain. They can’t be refunded, so send the exact amount shown, from your own wallet. If an amount doesn’t match, open a ticket in our Discord and we’ll sort it by hand.

PayPal payments go through a ticket in our Discord and are handled by hand.

No guarantees

romance is provided as it is. It can go down, break or change. Keep your own copy of anything you can’t lose.

As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses that come from using the site.

Leaving

You can delete your account any time from Account in your dashboard. We can also end the service or change these terms. If we change them in a way that matters, we will say so on the site.
